Vehicles in German Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police mentioned they were alerted by a man who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Around fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Police then found multiple other vandalized cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state preliminary tests show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; investigators are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the event," they stated.

Local authorities said they were trying "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the public for tips.

A senior political figure commented the attack made him without words and had to be solved quickly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on online, mentioning the death of nine victims by a gunman targeting individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
